What is Miss Bayou Volunteer?
Miss Bayou Volunteer is a local preliminary to the Miss Louisiana Volunteer and Miss Volunteer America programs. We celebrate young women who are passionate about leadership, community service, and personal development—offering them a platform to grow and give back.
Do I need prior pageant experience?
Not at all! Miss Bayou Volunteer welcomes both first-time participants and experienced titleholders. We provide support, guidance, and resources to help every contestant shine.
Who can compete?
Contestants must meet the following basic requirements:
Be a female U.S. citizen
Live, work, or attend school in Louisiana
Fall within the age divisions listed on our application page
(We offer multiple age divisions for children, teens, and young adults.)
What is the competition like?

What is your scholarship fundraising goal?
Our goal is to raise $25,000 to fund scholarships for contestants and titleholders. Every donation, sponsorship, and ticket purchase helps us invest in the future of young women across Louisiana.

What is the “Socks for St. Jude” drive?
On Finals night, we’re hosting a Socks for St. Jude donation drive. We’re asking each guest and contestant to bring a new pair of fun or cozy socks, which will be donated to children receiving treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
